A driveway is the hardest-working surface on your property, two tons of vehicle, several times a day, for decades. Most driveway failures aren’t surface problems; they’re base problems. We build driveways from the ground up: excavation to proper depth, compacted base engineered for vehicle loads, and a finish layer, interlocking pavers or concrete, that stays flat and clean-edged for the life of the home.
Driveways,
built to last
decades.
Driveway installation in Los Angeles, interlocking pavers and concrete on engineered base, vehicle-rated, permitted where required, and designed to frame the house.
“Every cracked driveway in Los Angeles failed underneath first. Build the base like a road and the surface takes care of itself.”Line of Art Construction
Expert Driveway Installations
01Vehicle-Rated Base Prep
Excavation to depth, class II road base compacted in lifts, and tested compaction before anything visible goes down. This is the part that determines whether it lasts 5 years or 50.
02Pavers or Concrete
Pavers cost more up front but repair invisibly and never crack. Concrete is economical and clean-lined. We price both and tell you which fits your soil, slope, and budget.
03Drainage By Design
Runoff routed to the street or drains, never toward the garage or foundation. Permeable paver options where infiltration matters.
04Curb, Aprons & Permit
Work in the parkway or a new curb cut needs city permits. We handle the drawings, permits, and inspections as part of the job.
Built like a road,
finished like a home.
From a straight replacement to a paver driveway with borders, banding, and a new entry walk, get a detailed, itemized estimate at no charge.
How A Driveway Should Be Built
01Site Assessment & Design
We measure, check slope and drainage, assess soil, and design the layout, borders, banding, and material, with an itemized bid for pavers, concrete, or both.
02Demo & Excavation
Old driveway broken out and hauled off. Excavation to engineered depth for vehicle loading, typically 10–12 inches below finish grade.
03Base & Compaction
Class II road base placed and compacted in lifts, edge restraints set, bedding sand screeded, or forms and reinforcement placed for concrete.
04Surface & Finish
Pavers laid, cut, compacted, and sand-sealed, or concrete poured, finished, and jointed. Driveways are drivable in days, not weeks.
The finish is visible.
The base is why it lasts.
Materials & options.
Interlocking paver driveways
Belgard and comparable systems on compacted road base with concrete or steel edge restraints. Repairs are invisible, lift, re-bed, relay. Borders and banding patterns tie the driveway to walks and entry.
Concrete driveways & flatwork
Reinforced concrete with control joints placed by plan, broom or salt finish, and optional borders. Economical, clean, and durable when the base and jointing are done right.
Permeable & turf-ribbon options
Permeable pavers and ribbon driveways with planted or turf centers reduce runoff and soften large paved areas, and can help with lot-coverage limits.
Curb cuts, aprons & parkway work
New or widened curb cuts and aprons require public-works permits. We prepare drawings, pull the permits, and build to city spec including required inspections.
Drainage: channels & trench drains
Trench drains at garage thresholds, area drains at low points, and grading that routes water to the street, keeping runoff away from structures and out of the garage.

Everything You Need to Know
What driveway materials are available?
We install interlocking pavers, stamped concrete, exposed aggregate, and standard broom-finish concrete. Pavers offer the best durability and drainage and are easy to repair if one cracks. We recommend based on your site grade, size, and budget.
How long does a driveway installation take?
Most driveway replacements complete in 2–5 days. Paver driveways take slightly longer due to setting time. Full timeline included in your written quote.
Do I need a permit for a new driveway in Los Angeles?
Replacing an existing driveway typically doesn’t require a permit. New curb cuts or changes to the public sidewalk area may need city approval. We evaluate permit requirements during your free estimate at no extra charge.
How much does a new driveway cost in Los Angeles?
Costs vary by material and size. Concrete typically runs $8–$18/sqft; pavers $15–$30/sqft; stamped concrete $12–$22/sqft. Get your exact flat-price quote with a free on-site estimate.
How do I maintain a paver or concrete driveway?
Concrete benefits from sealing every 2–3 years. Paver driveways need occasional re-sanding between joints and sealing. We provide full care instructions with every completed job.
